The Macho X2 comes with two silent running TY 142 fans. The use of two fans guarantees highest performance at lowest noise.
The Macho X2 offers the significantly enlarged, nickel-plated and highly polished base (53 x 40 mm).
The original conception of the Macho has been maintained: The heat sink is aligned to the rear of the PC case in order to prevent incompatibilities when using ram modules with high-rising heat spreaders. The aluminum cooling fins are perforated by a plurality of air holes, which counteract air accumulation between the cooling fins.
The special design of the heatsink's aluminum fins allows for a particularly low air resistance. The oval air duct in the middle of the cooler provides controlled air turbulence within the heat sink, whereby the heat can be dissipated more effectively.
As with all high performance coolers the Macho X2 makes use of the well-proven heat pipe technology. A total of six high-performance 6 mm heatpipes provide the most efficient dissipation of the generated processor heat. The heatpipes are tightly integrated into the nickel-plated copper base plate, which guarantees the most effective heat dissipation.
The TY 142 fans with their unique design come with the mounting holes a conventional 120 mm fans and at the same time offer a larger inner diameter than usual 140 mm fans. One of the main features is the extra-long life expectancy of the bearing (double-ball) in combination with the extremely low noise of just 15 dB(A), which was also implemented by an independent wing design.
