DJI's Remote Controller for Ronin is a dedicated 2.4 GHz handheld transmitter, pre-configured for seamless Ronin gimbal operation. It allows one operator to carry the gimbal while another remotely controls pan, tilt, and roll for more precise camera movements than a single operator could achieve alone.

This remote is specifically designed for use with the Ronin and is not compatible with the Ronin-M. Ensure the remote control is fully charged before use — it will automatically power off if the battery voltage drops too low. The internal battery charges via the included Micro-USB cable, and using an incorrect cable may cause damage. Always turn off the remote before charging; the power LED will glow solid green once the battery is fully charged.

For safe operation, the antenna should remain at least 7.9 inches away from any person while in use.

The controller features an internal battery with USB charging, a power indicator light, LEDs to show remaining battery life, a carry handle, and a neck strap attachment point. It’s also configurable and updatable using DJI's RC Assistant software.

By default, the controls include a right 3-position switch for selecting modes and a left 3-position switch to choose functions like Fast, Normal, or Slow. The right joystick controls pan with horizontal movements and tilt with vertical ones, while the left joystick manages roll horizontally. The left dial is reserved for future use.
