What is the Death end re;Quest series?

Death end re;Quest is a dark and gripping RPG series where a group of young people are thrown into a world corrupted by digital errors and deadly threats. As they search for the truth, death lurks around every corner. The series is especially known for its shocking and despair-filled “Death Ends,” written by Makoto Kedouin, the acclaimed writer of Corpse Party.

The first title in the series was released for PlayStation®4 in 2018 in Japan, and in 2019 in North America and Europe. Its sequel, Death end re;Quest 2, launched worldwide in 2020, also for PlayStation®4.

The Story of Death end re;Quest: Code Z

In Code Z, the story takes a new turn in a tale of parallel worlds. After regaining her faith in humanity, Iris creates a peaceful copy of World DE-1, naming it World DE-1.5. In this new world, conflict has given way to harmony, and everything seems to function perfectly. But peace is short-lived.

A mysterious man appears, leading a group of people who look strikingly similar to the heroes of the former world. The new protagonist, Sayaka Hiwatari, is thrust into a rising chaos where the line between ally and enemy becomes increasingly blurred. And so begins a new phase in the battle against a crumbling reality.

The Triple Pack release brings together Death end re;Quest, Death end re;Quest 2, and the brand-new Death end re;Quest: Code Z for PlayStation®4, and also includes an exclusive Enigma Games enamel pin.

Death end re;Quest 1 and 2 feature both Japanese and English voiceovers with English subtitles, while Code Z includes Japanese voiceovers with English subtitles.
