You follow Wyatt Heyll, a young man afflicted with a multitude of afflictions from an early age. As he lies dying, Wyatt's parents give him a paranormal substance known as the Sorrow virus. It contaminates the human soul and prevents it from continuing on to the afterlife. Instead, you land in Purgatory, where you are healed and can return to life. However, each time Wyatt returns, his illnesses return faster than before.

Wyatt's parents allow him to continue dying over and over again while they research the organic particles of Purgatory that can cure him once and for all. After dying so many times that Wyatt just wants to let go, your goal is to free Wyatt from his eternal torment. Navigating the intense environments in first-person, you solve puzzles and find clues that will help you unravel Wyatt's tragic story. There are four endings ahead, but only one of them is the true path.
