The tire was designed with racing in mind, hence it is characterized by high quality, balanced parameters and lower weight than the standard version.
A double layer of densely braided tread limits deflection, making the Grand Prix 5000s model 20% faster than the standard version.
The lower weight (reduction by approx. 50g) of the tire is due to the use of two layers of fabric under the tread instead of the standard three.
