Freewell NEO 2 Magnetic Filter MEGA KIT is a 9-piece drone filter set including ND, ND/PL, CPL, UV, and Glow Mist 1/4 filters for flexible shooting in different lighting conditions. ND filters reduce incoming light to prevent overexposure, while ND/PL versions also minimize reflections and improve color saturation. CPL enhances contrast, UV protects the lens, and Glow Mist 1/4 adds a soft cinematic glow. Lightweight magnetic mounting enables fast filter changes without tools. Includes magnetic ring, protective case, and cleaning cloth.
The included ND8, ND16, and ND32 filters reduce the amount of light entering the camera sensor, helping prevent overexposure during bright daytime shooting. This allows for improved exposure balance and smoother motion rendering in aerial footage.
The ND8/PL, ND16/PL, and ND32/PL hybrid filters combine neutral density reduction with circular polarization. In addition to controlling light intake, they reduce reflections from reflective surfaces such as water, glass, and snow while increasing contrast and color saturation. This creates more vivid and natural-looking footage, particularly in outdoor environments with strong sunlight.
The CPL filter is optimized specifically for reducing glare and improving image clarity in scenes containing reflective surfaces. It enhances depth, contrast, and color accuracy without altering exposure levels.
The UV filter functions as protective optical coverage for the drone lens, helping shield against dust, scratches, and environmental wear while also improving image clarity in outdoor conditions.
The Glow Mist 1/4 filter adds a controlled diffusion effect that softens highlights and introduces a subtle cinematic glow. This creates a smoother and more atmospheric image style, particularly effective in night scenes and environments with artificial lighting.
All filters use a lightweight magnetic mounting system that attaches to a pre-installed magnetic ring on the drone camera. This enables rapid filter changes without tools or threading mechanisms, making workflow significantly faster during active shooting sessions. Each filter weighs approximately 1 gram and features scratch-resistant, dirt-resistant, and moisture-resistant coatings for durability in outdoor use.
