This means that the AC adapter is not needed. Additionally you can power the Traveller II via the enclosed rechargeable Power Module and work up to 6 hours.

The Freecom Traveller II CD-RW runs with any notebook, PC or Apple MAC. Thanks to the Multi Connect System you can easily connect to the USB, USB-2, PCMCIA, CardBus, FireWire/i.LINK and parallel port. All you have to do is take the appropriate Freecom cable for the respective interface, plug in and go!
